Seasonal Flower Plantings In South Orange, NJ That Keep Your Property Looking Finished All Season

Get Started!

Keep Your Landscape Looking Cared For Beyond Weekly Maintenance

Your lawn and shrubs may be well maintained, but tired beds can still make the property feel unfinished. With seasonal flower plantings in South Orange, New Jersey, you can keep entrances, walkways, patios, garden beds, and other high-visibility areas colorful through spring, summer, and fall.

The Slevin Group handles the details as part of its landscape enhancement services. You get a local team with more than 20 years of experience, a dedicated enhancements crew, and one point of contact for the work outside your home.

Seasonal color is planned around the time of year and conditions on your property. Flowers are delivered, planted, watered, fertilized, and treated with deer repellent so you can enjoy the finished result without taking on the work yourself.

Get More Color Without Another Landscaping Project To Manage

Seasonal flowers perform differently as New Jersey weather changes. Cool-season flowers that work well in April are replaced with choices better suited to summer heat, followed by fall color when the growing season starts winding down.

That means you do not have to wait until beds look tired, shop for replacements, or figure out what belongs where.

  • Keep prominent areas colorful through spring, summer, and fall
  • Skip trips to the garden center and hours of planting work
  • Use flowers suited to the season and your property
  • Have seasonal improvements handled by a team that already knows your landscape

Your property stays polished throughout the growing season while you spend your time elsewhere.

Enjoy More Color With Less Work On Your Part

Seasonal flower service works best when the details are handled for you. These are three reasons homeowners choose The Slevin Group for seasonal color.

Fresh Color Through Three Seasons

Seasonal flower contracts include three rotations each year. Spring brings cold-season flowers such as pansies, summer brings heat-tolerant annuals, and fall brings mums in a wide range of colors.

You get fresh color as each season changes instead of relying on one planting to carry the property through the entire year.

The Details Are Handled For You

Buying flowers is only part of the job. Your locally greenhouse-grown flowers are delivered, planted, watered, fertilized, and treated with deer repellent.

You get finished beds without hauling plants home, digging holes, cleaning up soil, or worrying about deer damaging the new display.

One Team Already Knows Your Property

Seasonal flowers are part of The Slevin Group’s landscape enhancement services. The same team caring for your property can spot opportunities for added color and other improvements throughout the season.

Instead of hiring another contractor each time something needs attention, you have one local company that can maintain and improve the landscape over time. Slevin’s got it.

Choose Flowers That Fit The Season And Your Property

Seasonal flower plantings give you an easy way to add color at the times when your landscape needs it most. The Slevin Group can also design perennial gardens when you want plantings that return year after year.

Service options include:

  • Spring Flowers: Cold-season flowers such as pansies, typically planted in April
  • Summer Flowers: Begonias, petunias, impatiens, vinca, marigolds, coleus, and other flowers suited to warmer weather, typically planted in May or June
  • Fall Mums: Mums in a wide range of colors, typically planted in September or October
  • Three-Season Contracts: New flower rotations during spring, summer, and fall
  • Perennial Gardens: Longer-term garden designs based on sunlight, shade, soil, moisture, and surrounding plants
  • Pollinator Gardens Perennial selections that attract pollinating insects
  • Cutting Gardens Flowering plants selected for outdoor display and cut flowers
  • English Garden-Style Plantings Perennials mixed with shrubbery for a layered garden appearance
  • Woodland Gardens Larger groupings used in shaded, naturalized areas

Annual flowers complete their life cycle within one growing season and do not survive New Jersey winters. They are often chosen when you want stronger seasonal color.

Perennial flowers live for more than two years and can bloom again season after season. Because they remain in the landscape longer, they require more planning based on the environment and the goals for the garden.

Know What Your Seasonal Flower Plan Includes

The Slevin Group typically installs locally greenhouse-grown 9-inch flowers grown in Morris County. Service includes delivery, planting, watering, fertilizing, and deer repellent.

Seasonal flowers typically cost $25 per plant, with a 10-plant minimum per seasonal rotation. With three rotations each year, the minimum annual investment is $750.

That minimum is generally suited to a smaller quarter-acre home in SOMA, including South Orange and Maplewood. Larger suburban homes, estates, condominium complexes, and office buildings may need more plants and can be priced based on the quantity required.

Get Clear Answers Before Adding Flowers To Your Landscape

What Is The Difference Between Annual And Perennial Flowers?

Annuals complete their life cycle during one growing season and need to be replanted. Perennials live for more than two years and can return season after season. Annuals are often used for stronger seasonal color, while perennials require more site-specific planning.

How Does A Seasonal Flower Contract Work?

Your contract includes three rotations each year. Spring flowers are typically planted in April, summer flowers in May or June, and fall mums in September or October.

How Much Do Seasonal Flower Plantings Cost?

Seasonal flowers typically cost $25 per plant, including delivery, planting, watering, fertilizing, and deer repellent. The minimum is 10 plants per rotation for three seasons, which starts at $750 per year. Larger properties are priced based on the number of plants needed.

Can You Design Perennial Gardens Too?

Yes. Perennial gardens can be designed for pollinators, cut flowers, English garden-style landscapes, shaded woodland areas, or mixed planting beds. Plant selections depend on the conditions and goals for your property.
